About our company
Independent property finding service since 1999
London Property Match was set up in 1999, making it one of the most established and long running property finding agencies in London.
Sarah Dixon Director
Sarah grew up in London and started in property in 2006 as a conveyancing solicitor at Forsters in the West End of London. Four years post qualification, in 2010, Sarah left the legal world and joined London Property Match as a director, having been a previous client. She brought with her invaluable legal know-how and an in-depth knowledge of Central, South and West London. Sarah is married, lives in Wandsworth and has two children. Any free time is used to travel, ski, photograph and exercise.
Tamara Colton Director
Tamara grew up in Canada and began her career in UK property in 1999. In 2012 she became a director of London Property Match having been a sales manager since 2006 for a Kensington estate agent. Previously she managed a sales office, managed a lettings department and developed property to sell outside of London. Tamara lives in West London with her husband, and spends most of her spare time gardening with other interests being home improvements, travel, music, film and theatre.
Where it all began
The company was created in 1999 through the deep experience gathered by founding members, Suzanne Emson and Sarah Snow, in their personally buying and renovating property in London over several decades.
After finding themselves asked by friends and acquaintances to advise on properties in their London home patch, it became clear there was a need for a service that provided expertise and local knowledge on what and where to buy. As a personal, independent and bespoke search service, London Property Match was born.
The next generation
As the company grew, the founders recruited the next generation. Previous client Sarah Dixon, a qualified property solicitor, and Tamara Colton, a sales manager of a Kensington estate agents, joined as directors in 2010 and 2012 respectively. Sarah Snow and Suzanne Emson retired in 2014 when Sarah and Tamara took over the company fully.
Sarah Dixon and Tamara Colton decided to remain a team of two which enables London Property Match to be highly competitive on price; their fees are lower than most. This means they are accessible to all types of buyers and renters. Sarah and Tamara have chosen to work from home rather than spend on expensive central offices and do not hire chauffeur driven cars to transport their clients, preferring instead to drive them around personally. Consequently, they do not have to charge the higher fees so many other property finders do.
