Where it all began

The company was created in 1999 through the deep experience gathered by founding members, Suzanne Emson and Sarah Snow, in their personally buying and renovating property in London over several decades.

After finding themselves asked by friends and acquaintances to advise on finding property in London, their home patch, it became clear there was a need for a service that provided expertise and local knowledge on what and where to buy.  As a personal, independent and bespoke property buying service, London Property Match was born.

As the company grew, the founders recruited the next generation.  Previous client Sarah Dixon, a qualified property solicitor and Tamara Colton, a property expert most recently managing a central London sales office, joined as directors in 2010 and 2012 respectively.  Sarah Snow and Suzanne Emson retired in 2014, Sarah moved to the volunteer sector in early 2024 and Tamara continues to this day finding the very best property for clients of all walks of life with the support of her network of property experts.

The process

Without the unnecessary expense of a central London office, we are able to offer competitive fees, being lower than most London based property search agents. This makes London Property Match more accessible to more types of buyers with their London based buying and renting search.  We provide a personal service that includes driving clients around, rather than the hiring expensive chauffeur driven cars and consequently do not have to charge the higher fees other finders do.

How we work

We offer a free initial consultation which can be in person, video call or by phone to give us the opportunity to discuss your property needs and aspirations for your search in order to build your property search brief. With your brief in hand, London Property Match will use our long standing connections to gather appropriate information on properties and be your legs by running around previewing the very best that we filter to match your brief.  We will be your eyes by scrutinising the buildings, roads, areas and the market.  With extensive knowledge of London Central (Prime Central) market, as well as the vibrant Outer Prime areas of North-West, West and South-West London, we are a safe pair of hands to guide you through your learning and decision-making.  We advise on the best properties, prices, locations, influences and are happy to recommend specialists, surveyors and services to use during the due diligence process of either your purchase or your rental.

London Property Match has worked extensively with all types of buyers, renters and budgets; relocation, first timers, investors, growing families, those downsizing and with short and long term needs. We work for those buying or looking to rent property – never selling or letting property – therefore our clients’ interests and requirements are always at the forefront of our minds. We rarely advertise and the majority of our clients come through recommendations and repeat use of our service.
